They call it "Snowtober..."

When I went outside on Sunday morning, I thought for sure that I was in Alaska. 10 inches of snow in October??? As unprepared as most of us Northeastern folk were, I felt even worse for the trees. They weren't acclimated for the white mush yet. Especially the heavy white mush. Well, it was beautiful, anyway. And even though we lost power for days, and it got cold at night, there was something really special about living by candlelight and sleeping in front of
the cozy fireplace. It was actually so nice to be "shut off" and mom and I agreed to have nights like that at least once a week. It's good for the soul.
