God... PhD?
So I saw this posted on someone's Facebook page today:
This silly world and its hang ups on science. Sure, science is wonderful- but God created science, too! Even the very minds that doubt Him and try to find answers using quantifiable, tangible methods. Sigh... Here is my response to the points above:
First and foremost... God doesn't need a PhD. He IS the PHD- the Perfect, Holy Deity! And while He certainly doesn't need any defense to the points above, I felt so inclined to give a little feedback on a Tuesday night.
1. There are many publications that have saved lives, but God's major publication is the only book that has ever saved souls.
2. PhD candidates aren't intelligent enough to learn Hebrew?
3. The entire publication is made up of cross-references written by God's followers.
4. The Holy Spirit was the referee.
5. I doubt that, too. He wrote it Father, Son and Holy Spirit through many of His followers.
6. Won't you love to find out?
7.Really?? His millions of followers don't seem to have any trouble "cooperating" with Him...
8.They haven't realized yet that God's lab is immeasurably greater than test tubes and Bunsen burners. In fact, they haven't comprehended the word "immeasurably" at all.
9.And it's a good thing that he didn't! Otherwise we'd all have rat tails.
10.Experiments imply that the result is unknown and subject to testing. God knows everything, and therefore knew that the flood was necessary to achieve His perfect end someday. If you don't know what that is, google "salvation."
11. Again, God's predictions are never wrong. God knew everything that would happen before it happened. And still, He gave us the choice. Some people decided to choose death.
12.His class is interactive and never-ending. Go watch a sunset. Or better yet, turn off your brain for five seconds. You'll learn lots.
13. His son... God in human form. Ooh how he taught.
14. He was sad to see the consequences of his two creations' disobedience and punished them for a reason. And really, those punishments paid off today. Men have more dignity and self-respect when they work hard and can you imagine how overpopulated the world would be if childbearing was easy and pain-free?
15. And yet He continues to give them chance after chance and forgive them for failing and invite them to the next class. What other teacher would be so kind?
16. Correction: Prayer lives are infrequent and sometimes it takes a mountain top to allow people to be rid of their inhibitions long enough to face an Almighty God.
17.God works very well with his Son and the Holy Spirit. Other than that, He is pretty much in a league of His own.
