I wish that I could remember the exact date, which must have been at some point during high school, when I agreed to sign on the line below the phrase "shall heretofore agree to hand over my life to a non-stop marathon." At that point, my eyes surely weren't trained to check for all of the necessary terms and conditions, or carve-outs. If I had my way now, I would write-in plenty of breathers, lots of vacation time, and I would insert a Limitation of Obligation clause (aka the "LOO" clause, because we all need a break sometimes, don't we?)
