This
morning, I felt like many Christians all over the country sighed a
collective sigh of disappointment, myself included. Some even felt
abandoned and fearful... and after much prayer today, I stand corrected
in perspective by God. I have been reminded that we cannot expect to
feel secure in any regard in this lifetime, not by a nation's doctrine,
resources, or landscapes and not by the men who
govern such things.
The truth is that nothing outside of our citizenship in the Kingdom of Heaven is secure. Our houses, our cities, our nation and this earth are all temporary...
While much of the disappointment felt was caused by the sad realization that more than half of this country does not know or blatantly rejects Jesus Christ, another piece of the disappointment was based on an overwhelming feeling of insecurity. Where is the great nation heading? What's next? Are we doomed? Where did America's morals disappear to? Is this the end of the world?
While I do believe that it is natural for us to become restless in these uncertain times, times have always been uncertain. We know not the day nor the hour of Christ's return, yet we know that it is imminent in the grand view of eternity. And thus, I say to my fellow beloved Christian brothers and sisters, let us remain fixed on planting as many seeds as possible for God's Harvest! Let it rain! Let it snow! Let it pour! Let it quake! Let us stir! Lord, we await your return and we will do Your work here in this place! We stand ready, united, and armed with Your Truth!
GO!
